Don’t forget the rule changes this year regarding the Redline Cup Series. Riders need their best 2 qualifiers + both Saturday & Sunday at the Redline Cup Finals in order to ensure they will get the coveted yellow plate. USABMX scheduled fewer RLQ’s this year, so you will want to ensure you come to Grippen Park and secure a good score early in the season.

Redline Cup Qualifier Weekend – Pro/Am & Team Challenge Details.

‹ Saturday, April 20th › Race for Life we will have a $1,000+ Pro/Am.

• Riders aged 16 and over are eligible to race
• Open Wheel
• Purse STARTS at $1,000 with 100% payback from entry fees
• Amateurs = $20 (must register for regular class)
• Pros = $30
• More than 16 riders means everyone that qualifies for the main will win money
• Total points format

‹ Sunday, April 21st › The Redline Cup Qualifer the team challenge returns. This year, we changed things slightly. A total of $2,000+ is up for grabs.

• $1,500 + 100% payback for USA BMX Rostered teams (Bike Shop or Factory) — Payout to the top 3 teams
• $500 + 100% payback for trophy teams — WINNER TAKE ALL!!
• Riders can be on two teamsheets, but must be racing different bikes (class/cruiser). Riders can not be on a trophy teamsheet AND a bike shop/factory teamsheet.
• Like last year, only class or cruiser counts. Opens do not count.
• Bike Shop & Factory teams are limited to 3 teamsheets. Trophy teams can enter as many as they want.
• $20 trophy teamsheets | $25 bike shop/factory teamsheets

Saturday: NYS Championship “Pre-Race”. Double District Points.  Trophies or Saver Stamp awards.
Signups 12:00pm (Noon)-1:15pm | Race Fee: $20/class

Sunday: NYS Championship. TRIPLE District Points.  Large trophies.  Saver stamps available if/when trophies run out.
Signups 9:00am-10:30am | Race Fee: $30/class, $5 pitbikes, $5 striders

Join Grippen Park BMX in celebrating the 2012 Olympic Summer Games on June 23rd!

Looking to try out the newest Olympic sport?  Have a friend or neighbor already ripping around the block showing off their favorite competitive sport?  Come on out and see what the buzz is all about!

Open House 12:00pm-4:00pm – The track will be open for all to ride!  Food and refreshments will be available, as will our expert racers and family volunteers to answer any questions and show off what makes our sport so special!

After the Open House, Grippen Park BMX will be joining 300 other tracks across the country and hosting a free race for everyone and anyone!

Olympic Day is a worldwide commemoration of Baron Pierre de Coubertin’s June 23, 1894, convening of the first International Olympic Committee (IOC) meeting at the Sorbonne in Paris, and the founding of the Modern Olympic Games. National Olympic Committees (NOCs) throughout the world will also participate in the international celebration, with each Olympic Committee sending Olympic Day greetings to participating nations.

$1,000+ Team competition

Details on the team competition are as follows:

Starting purse: $1,000.

Purse grows as teams purchase and submit teamsheets ($20/each) and 100% of the entry fees + the starting purse are paid back to the Top 3 teams.
All teams will be competing against each other for the purse.  Trophy vs. Bike Shop vs. Factory vs. day of ‘dream teams’.
Teams are able to submit unlimited teamsheets.  Have 25 riders on your team?  You can submit enough teamsheets to cover them all!
Opens will NOT be counted.  Class, & Cruiser are the only accepted classes that will be allowed on teamsheets.

Other races

We will also be hosting Strider and Pitbike races so there is something for everyone!
