2011 Winter Racing Series
Don’t let a little thing such as old-man winter stop you from racing your bike! Race all year long under the roof at the only sanctioned “indoor” track, Grippen Park BMX! Get a head start on the 2011 ABA points season which starts in January.

How it works
Grippen Park BMX will be mixing our regular off-peak season schedule with a special series. Selected race dates will be announced and posted on our calendar where racers will be able to earn WRS Points. At the end of the season, Grippen Park BMX will hold a finale, and hand out special awards to those riders that made it out. Awards will be handed for 1st place through 3rd place. Bonus points will be awarded to those that attend all Series Events.

WSR Points
In addition to the ABA district points, here is the Grippen Park BMX WSR Points table:

| DNQ | 0 points | +1 point for every rider in class |
WSR Bonus Points
There are a variety of ways to earn bonus points:
- Any rider renewing or registering an ABA membership* will be awarded 60 bonus points.
- Any rider that attends all Series Events will be awarded 300 bonus points.
- All riders that attend the January 1st mid-night Pro/Am will be awarded 150 bonus points.
- Plus Grippen Park BMX staff will hold various contests and hand out WSR bonus points as well!
MTB Open
Racing four-cross (4x) on your mountainbike? Grippen Park BMX has you covered. We will have special open classes that will combine elements of 4x and BMX racing. 4 riders on a gate combined with the ABA 2-moto transfer system. Riders racing in the MTB must be riding a mountainbike and not a BMX style cruiser. Not sure what the difference is? Ask a staff member for help for class placement.
A MTB open class can and will be created for all off-peak season events, not just events dedicated for the Winter Racing Series. However, if there are not enough riders to create the open class, those riders will be moved to the appropriate cruiser class.

Here is a brief rundown of the dates that Grippen Park BMX will be racing in the off-peak season. Please check our event calendar for specific WSR dates.
November & December Weekends:
Saturdays – Registration 12:00pm – 1:15pm – Racing at 2:00pm
Sundays – Registration 12:00pm – 1:15pm – Racing at 2:00pm
January & February:
January 1st – Special New Years 2011 Pro/Am! – Registration Dec. 31st 10:30pm – 11:30pm – Gate drops at midnight!
Saturdays (Jan. 15th & 29th | Feb. 12th & 26th) – Registration 12:00pm – 1:15pm – Racing at 2:00pm
Sundays (Jan. 16th & 30th | Feb 13th & 27th) – Registration 12:00pm – 1:15pm – Racing at 2:00pm
March:
WSR Finale: Saturday, March 12th – Registration 12:00pm – 1:15pm – Racing at 2:00pm
