ABA NY State Championship Recap

Whew!  If you missed the ABA New York State Championships at Horseheads BMX, you missed out on some serious racing.  A great show put on by T.O. Ed Garrity and his crew of volunteers.   Grippen Park BMX’s very own T.O., Gary Gitchel, was on hand to run the gate for the duration of the race, and show his support for Grippen Park riders.  There was a  minor delay due to the gate needing a quick re-weld, but once patched up things went nice and smooth.

The racing was action-packed as riders from all over the state battled it out for the respective Champion title in their age groups.  The moto of the day was the 5& Under racers.  An almost unprecedented full gate of 8 pocket rockets powering their hearts out around the track.  What a sight to behold!

We are still working on a list to post, but we know (and are proud!) that a bunch of riders that call Grippen Park BMX home, walked away 2010 ABA NY Champions.  If you received a plate and call Grippen Park home, please bring it with you on Friday night for a photo.

Grippen Park BMX would like to congratulate all BMXers that went home champions from the ABA NY State Championship!
